Lawn Fawn Wonderful Window

When I saw this sweet die, Lawn Fawn’s new Wonderful Window, I just had to buy it!  This is my first card with this die and there are so many possibilities that I will be using it again and again!  The tulip base slides into the little flower box.  If you want to make the windows open, you can!  There are also little cut outs for each window pane with tulip cut outs, if you want to totally different look.

Warm & Cozy Wishes

I just love this image by A Day for Daisies called Hot Coco.  It speaks to me because hot chocolate is my warm drink of choice, since I”m not a coffee drinker.  It was so fun to color with my Copic markers.  I love the little doggy, following along behind.  I used a silver metallic paint marker on her pompom.  I added glossy accents on her bag of marshmallows. The little polka dots were added with a white gel pen.  I popped the image and part of the banner up with fun foam and foam tape.

One in a Minion

I recently learned that my dear Mother-in-Law loves the Minions.  So, this just had to be done.  Happy Birthday to you!  I am glad we share our youthful love of whimsical things!! This minion’s name is Dave.

Here is the inside and the back.  I used a Minion language translator website for these. .  Just do a web search for minions translator.  The minion eyeballs on the site follow your mouse – really cute!

Halloween Scene

Halloween is coming!   I love all the candy and cute kidlets in costumes and candy and well, the CANDY! I could do without all the scary movie commercials though! :).  I decided it was time to create a few fun cards for my Halloween loving friends 🙂  The card set was a labor of love because I rarely make multiples.  I used the Misti when I could, but these cards included lots of masking, layers of stamping, and Copic coloring!  This is the cutest one of the set, I think!

Hagrid!

Wow…look at all these cobwebs around here!  I wish I could say it was because Halloween is coming – but really, I’ve just been posting my cards more on Instagram lately.  I tend to make more cards in the colder months – when I’m stuck inside – so card season is coming up here really quickly!! 🙂

I made this card for our niece – her 12th birthday is today!  She recently got to experience the joy of reading the Harry Potter books…so I just couldn’t resist buying this digi from Bugaboo Stamps!  I bought another of the set – and there are so many others that I just love!!

Some Things Old, Some Things New

Christmas has gone by, and I only got half the cards out that I’d hoped.  In this New Year, one nice thing is that we are just seeing our first snow here. I think snowflakes work out great for thank you cards for those holiday gifts!  This is one I’ll be sending out soon.

For this card, I dug out my vellum and embossed my new Crystal Flurries stamps by The Ton stamps on it with some glittery blue embossing powder I have had in my stash a long while.  I adhered the vellum down just under the snowflakes, so it looks like a loose overlay around the edges.  I just love the new DCWV Glitzy cardstock I received as one of my gifts!  The glitter doesn’t come off at all and the sparkle is awesome!   I used a cute die cut from Simon Says Stamp.

Crystal Flurries

As my obsession with snowflakes continues, here is a card I made with my new Crystal Flurries set by The Ton stamps.  I embossed the flakes with Ranger Platinum embossing powder and then water colored the paper.  I embossed the edges of the white cardstock with the same embossing powder so that it would match the stamps.  The vellum banner is hand stitched with a silvery thread I found in my cross stitching stash.
